HPI Structure

Located in the Department of Health Policy & Management of the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh to ensure an objective, community-oriented perspective in its work, HPI is guided by an Advisory Group comprised of foundation, business, healthcare, community, and university leaders. Grants from organizations represented by Advisory Group members and direct support from GSPH's Department of Health Policy & Management make possible HPI's work.

HPI pursues its mission to enhance health in the Pittsburgh region by improving healthcare decisionmaking through a variety of interrelated activities. The specific mix of activities varies according to the Advisory Group's assessment of the most productive use of resources.   HPI's staff includes Beaufort B. Longest, M.
