Biography
Heidi Donovan, PhD, RN, is a Professor in the Department of Health and Community Systems with a secondary appointment in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. Her research is in the development and testing of self-management interventions for patients with cancer and their family caregivers. She is particularly interested in the intersection between symptoms, self-management, and psychological and functional outcomes for patients and caregivers and in the optimal use of ehealth technology to reduce the work of self-management.
Her current work is focused on the implementation of essential elements of caregiver support within Gynecologic Cancer and on understanding the ways in which caregivers can facilitate adherence to new oral agents in oncology.
